Best Video Games for Girls

Video games are a growing industry, one that has long eclipsed even the Hollywood movie sector in terms of sheer profitability. A lot of this has to do with the fact that a lot more people are really getting into the hobby, with some even earning money by doing it professionally. There’s also the fact that both boys and girls can now safely call themselves gamers without reserve.

With regards to which website visitors would come to a gaming publication, for example, an increasing number of female participants has been observed over the years. A lot of this has to do with these excellent games that girls and boy both play.

Overwatch

As an online first-person multiplayer shooting game, Overwatch is full of interesting characters and fast-paced action. However, what really makes it so popular among female gamers is the fact that there are a lot of female characters to choose from. Of course, this argument is a bit reductive, but it does go a long way towards explaining why so many girls play the game.

Splatoon

Just as with Overwatch, Splatoon is a game that female players are flocking towards and there are actually more reasons to this than the simple existence of female characters. Splatoon is colorful, imaginative, and engaging in how it approaches team-based combat. The title basically appeals to women because it touches on their natural tendency towards cute and creative things.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

According to a recent survey, a significant portion of female gamers are heavily invested in Dragon Age: Inquisition and much of this has to do with the fact that it allows women to play as, well, female characters. This is also the reason why games like the Mass Effect series and the Elder Scrolls franchise, and even the Fallout IP have started attracting crowds of the fairer sex.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Then we come to Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which finally features a female protagonist. Of all the games in the series, this is the first one that allows players to have a woman become an assassin and one that actually contributes to the movement of the plot. There’s also the option of her brother, of course, but having these choices is what makes the game so enjoyable. Just ask any tech blog.
